SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to an electrophotographic image forming device such as a copying machine or a printer. The claimed group of inventions comprises variants of the image forming device, which comprises a plurality of image carriers, each of which carries a powder image, a movable and an electric conductive intermediate transfer tape, on which the powder images are transferred from the plurality of image carriers with the primary transfer, a plurality of tension elements which tension the intermediate transfer tape, a current-supplying element, which is in contact with the intermediate transfer tape and provides the current supply to the intermediate transfer tape, a contact element located between the tension elements so as to contact with the side of the surface of the primary transfer of the intermediate transfer tape to which the powder images are transferred from the plurality of image carriers, and an element for maintaining voltage which is connected to the contact element and at least one of the tension elements, at that the tension element which is connected to the element for maintaining voltage, and the contact element maintain the predetermined or greater potential by the current flowing from the current-supplying element to the intermediate transfer tape.

EFFECT: providing an image forming device which can prevent the potential change of the primary transfer at that part of the primary transfer, and can provide satisfactory characteristics of the primary transfer, when the current flows from the current-supplying element to the intermediate transfer tape.
