FIELD: image forming device.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to an image forming device of electrophotographic type, for example, copying device, printer or the like. Claimed image forming device comprises the image bearing element to transfer the toner image, element of the intermediate transfer for transferring toner image primarily transferred from the image bearing element in position of primary transfer, transfer element, which is provided with the possibility of contact with the outer peripheral surface of the intermediate transfer element for secondary transfer of the toner image from the intermediate transfer element on to the recording material in the position of the secondary transfer, constant voltage element electrical connected between the intermediate transfer element and earth potential, in order to maintain a predetermined voltage by passing current therethrough, power supply for generation and electric field of the secondary transfer in position of the secondary transfer, and electric field of the primary transfer in position of the primary transfer by applying a voltage to the transfer element for passing current through the constant current element; and controller for controlling voltage to be applied to the power source to transfer element when the toner image is transferred again onto the recording material having a predetermined maximum width with respect to the width direction perpendicular to the feeding direction, so that the constant voltage element can maintain predetermined voltage.

EFFECT: technical result consists in prevention of defect transfer due to lack of primary transfer electric field in the section of the primary transfer, when the toner image is transferred again on to recording material.
