FIELD: radio engineering, communication.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to communication systems and can be used for adaptive control of transmitter power for measuring noise during communication. The communication system (100) includes receiver units (120) connected to a transmission channel (105). The receiver units (120) determine signal power for a first communication signal received over the transmission channel (105). A transmitter unit (110) is connected to the transmission channel (105) and transmits a second communication signal, wherein the gain coefficient of the communication signal output by the unit (110) is controllable. A control unit (151) controls the gain coefficient of the transmitter unit in response to a certain signal power. A receiving unit comprises a noise detection unit configured to measure noise above a given noise level while receiving a communication signal.
EFFECT: improved detection of a broadcast signal at the receiver unit (120) side during data transmission.
