FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: tool is obtained from a bar with a diameter 25 mm maximum, it is pre-heated in a salt-bath furnace, then final heating in a chlorbarium bath up to the temperature, 30-50°C lower than the usual tempering heating temperature, is performed, with further cooling with ensuring of grain grade 12 maximum, multiple blazing-off with providing of minimum hardness 56 HRC and insignificant decrease of red-hardness.
EFFECT: increase of durability, viscosity and insignificant decrease of red-hardness during tool operation, cutting speeds.
