FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: first, tool is heated in furnace to 500-550°C and, then, to 800-850°C in salt bath. Final heating of the tool is performed to 1030±10°C in salt bath and kept thereat at 20-25 s/mm to ensure grain high rank. After heating, the tool is cooled to 350-370°C in saltpeter bath for 30 minutes and finally cooled in oil by compressed air. Now, one-pass tempering is performed to 220-240°C.
EFFECT: higher durability.
