FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: additionally voltage drop at choke cable connected to a rail is measured, resistance of each choke cable is calculated by multiplying specific rail resistance to ratio of voltage drop in the choke cable to voltage drop per one metre of solid rail, asymmetry coefficient for choke cable resistance is calculated by dividing cable resistance difference by the resistance sum; and in case choke cable resistance and/or asymmetry coefficient for choke cable resistance exceed permissible values, additionally current and voltage drop are measured in each wire of respective choke cable at rail-to-plug, plug-to-cable and cable-to-terminal wire transitions, each transition resistance is calculated for each wire by dividing voltage drop in a checked transition by current in the wire, and transitions with maximum resistance are considered faulty.
EFFECT: possible diagnostics of choke cable state in track choke transformers due to additional operations.
