FIELD: physics, optics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to vehicle construction. A multi-purpose mirror has a body with fastening and position orientation elements, a straight reflecting mirror surface, a curved part which supplants the straight part on area, a mirror-forming flat glass, active and passive light emission elements. The reflecting straight part of the mirror is formed by adjoining to the transparent adjacent glass a mirror cushion which is a hollow ellipsoid pumped by a gas - air or nitrogen. The ellipsoid is selected on shape and dimensions, is made of elastic film material and its adjacent wall is coated with a mirror reflecting layer. The reflecting curved peripheral part of the mirror is formed by adjoining the mirror cushion to the transparent adjacent glass. The curved part of the mirror is formed by not adjoining the mirror cushion to the transparent adjacent glass through a protrusion situated on the side of the mirror cushion and obtained through a cut in the transparent adjacent glass. The ratio of the straight and curved reflecting parts of the mirror, as well as the curvature of the curved reflecting parts are controlled through simultaneous or separate control of the pressure of the gas - air or nitrogen - in the mirror cushion and a pressing cushion. Pipes for pumping both cushions come out through a channel to the corresponding means of controlling pumping or pressing the back wall of the mirror cushion with a pressing plate.
EFFECT: high quality of the reflecting surface.
