SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biometric protection of witness anonymity during court proceedings. The method for biometric protection of witness anonymity during court proceedings comprises creating a plurality of one-time electronic identity cards for witnesses without indication of the name of the witness, obtained by generating a random code K, used further when training a neural network to convert parameters of examples of a biometric sample of a witness into a code K; parameters of the trained neural network are protected by self-encryption on fragments of the code K; calculating a hash function of the code K; the one-time electronic identity card of a witness is formed by placing therein a unique identification number, cipher text of the protected parameters of the trained neural network and values of the hash function of the code K; an anonymous registration entity captures said data by its digital signature; further, all examples of biometric samples of a witness and random codes K are multiplied; further, for each K-th call of an anonymous witness, the K-th electronic identity card of the witness is sent to the witness, which enables the witness to present their biometric sample and thereby anonymously confirming their identity; also, by presenting their biometric sample, the witness obtains an output code K, verification of which is carried out by calculating the hash function thereof and comparing with a reference placed in the one-time identity card in advance.

EFFECT: high reliability of protecting witness anonymity.
