FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: bearing cage consists of a uniform detail, where sequentially and uniformly sockets for rolling bodies, balls or rollers, and the socket for balls with smaller diameter are made. The balls with a smaller diameter are the elements of the cage structure, fixing the housing of the rolling body and excluding the contacts of rolling bodies to each other. Each rolling body can have contact with the cage from one side and the ball with smaller diameter from another side. Within the available clearances the balls can freely move without any losses for rolling and sliding friction. In case of contact of rolling bodies with balls the losses for rolling friction are inevitable. However, these losses, as well as loss for sliding friction, will be small, as far as the majority of contacts in the bearing will be limited to two or three bodies, synchronously not being spread for all rolling balls and bodies of the bearing.
EFFECT: reduction of friction losses due to use of spherical balls and their movements within the available clearances allows to increase a service life of bearings.
