FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the production of all articles requiring enhanced service life of radial ball bearings and can be used in bearing industry for manufacturing of radial ball bearings with long service life. In ball bearing the balls of two groups are alternatively installed, the first group balls are fixed with preload between the ball bearing rings and the second group balls with smaller diameter are springing, fixing elements for the first group balls. Free movement of the second group balls and guaranteed clearances between the balls reduce sliding friction in the ball bearing. Each of circular grooves in a ball bearing is divided into three adjoining grooves of different purpose. The first group balls are fixed with preload between the first grooves of both ball bearing rings. Shape and width of the first grooves are chosen so that to provide for low sliding friction at permissible contact pressures in the contact zone. The second grooves are aimed at the elimination of contacts in the zones with high sliding friction. The third grooves are stoppers and prevent the first group balls from moving in the direction of the ball bearing axis. In the course of a ball bearing assembly the movable ring is shifted in the direction of the ball bearing axis until the resultant pressing forces of each first group ball are perpendicular to the ball bearing axis and oppositely directed, and the clearances between the first group balls and the third circular grooves are put to minimum.
EFFECT: longer service life of radial ball bearings.
