FIELD: nanotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of nanotechnology, namely to diamond nanocrystalline coatings and methods of its preparation using nanodiamonds. The diamond coating comprises a sublayer comprising nanodiamond particles with the size of 2 to 30 nm and applied by deposition from gaseous phase of the diamond layer. The sublayer is made from a composite material having a metallic or non-metallic binder and the said nanodiamond particles with a volume ratio of 5-90%. The method of production of the diamond coating on the substrate comprises applying the sublayer comprising nanodiamond particles with the size of 2 to 30 nm, and applying the diamond layer by deposition from the gaseous phase. The said sublayer comprising nanodiamond particles is made of a composite material having a metallic or non-metallic binder and nanodiamond particles with a volume ratio of 5-90%.
EFFECT: quality of coating and its adhesion to the substrate is improved.
