FIELD: transport.

SUBSTANCE: propulsion unit comprises at least one stationary propulsive unit arranged at the ship aft. Propulsive unit comprises a hollow bearing structure secured to ship hull. The chamber has front and rear ends and is secured to bearing structure. Motor is arranged inside said chamber. The shaft has first and second ends. Propeller screw is engaged with motor. Rudder can turn at the chamber rear end. Propulsive unit is arranged to make shaft line (SL) form the vertical inclination angle (α) of 1-8 degrees to water line (WL) so that chamber front end is located below than chamber rear end relative to waterline (WL).

EFFECT: improvement of propulsion unit on vessels.
