FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: involved are improving the pancreatic outflow conditions and preventing pancreatic duct hypertension. A primary stage of the surgical intervention is preceded by intraoperative administration of oxytocin in a dose of 2 Units pre-dissolved in 5% glucose 5 ml. Oxytocin is expected to be administered for 10 minutes.
EFFECT: reducing the rate of early acute pancreatitis following the abdominal surgeries and the total number by the adequate effect on the valve apparatus with a low probability of side effects of the used preparation.
