FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to cooling of superconducting cable. Said cable is fitted in cryostat heat-insulated tube surrounded by free space. Said space accommodates cable and tube through which coolant is forced from distant source. Said coolant is fed through said cryostat and tube in solely one direction prior to cooling said cable to its working temperature. Said coolant is diverted to ambient medium at distant end. At cable working temperature said coolant is forced back via tube to feed point.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of cooling.
