CONVERTING COUPLING OF SUPERCONDUCTING ELECTRIC CABLE Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC H02G15/34

Abstract RU 2685696 C2

FIELD: electrical instrument making.

SUBSTANCE: end coupling for superconducting electric cable, which has at least a superconducting conductor surrounded by a coolant serving as a tubular cryostat, which at its end is surrounded by a housing (G). Housing (G) has two walls (7, 8), separated from each other by intermediate space (9) and consisting of insulating material, wherein in intermediate space there is heat insulation containing gas. Pressure in intermediate space (9) of housing (G) is controlled to value from 10-9 up to 1000 mbar, and with intermediate space (9) pressure measuring device (12) and vacuum pump (11) are connected, which serve to control prevailing in intermediate space (9) of housing (G) pressure.

EFFECT: invention provides high electrical and thermal requirements for end coupling.
