FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to metallurgy. A casting mould is made from copper material and includes casting surface (2) facing to molten metal. In casting surface (2) there are compensation joints (3) with width (B). During the casting process, molten metal does not penetrate into compensation joint (3). Distance (A) of compensation joints (3) from each other and width (B) are calculated so that during the casting process compensation joints (3) in maximum are closed on the side of inlet holes.
EFFECT: prevention of buckling and crack formation in a metal bath surface zone.
