FIELD: manufacture of wide lateral walls of crystallizer used for making thin slabs.
SUBSTANCE: method is used for making wide lateral walls of crystallizer at relatively high casting speed 2 - 6 m/min and more from dispersion hardening copper base alloy containing, mass %: beryllium, 0.1 - 0.5; nickel, 0.5 - 2.0; copper - the balance. In concrete examples of invention copper base alloy contains, mass %: beryllium, 0.1 - 0.5; nickel, 0.5 - 2.0; copper - up to 99.4 and impurities , no more than 0.5.
EFFECT: copper alloys preventing early cracking, especially in zone of metal heel, providing lowered wear of surface being in contact with melt steel, resistance against maximally high thermal and mechanical actions at casting process for long life time period.
