FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: fast reactor comprises core composed by pins cooled by liquid heavy metal heat carrier and neutron reflector units arranged around said core. Said units comprise steel shell. Inlet to divert heat carrier flux portion from interunit space inside said shell is made in sidewalls upstream of core boundary. Vertical pipe is arranged in said shell for diverted heat carrier flux flowing through core top and bottom boundaries to get to shell bottom section. Throttling device is arranged at shell outer side, above aforesaid inlet, to develop drag for hear carrier flux in said interunit space.
EFFECT: higher safety and efficiency, decreased heat exchange surface in steam generator.
