FIELD: measurement equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention is used to the field of measurement equipment and may be used to measure temperature in melts, in particular, in metal or cryolite melts with melting point above 600°C with a temperature sensor. A sensor device is proposed for measurement of temperature in melts with a reservoir, which on its upper side has a hole, and in which the temperature sensor is placed. The temperature sensor comprises a tube protruding into a reservoir, where a fibre light guide is placed, which, if necessary, additionally on its side surface it comprises an adjacent tubular shell. A tube or a tubular shell on its end placed in the reservoir is closed. Also the method is proposed for measurement of melt temperature using the proposed sensor device.
EFFECT: increased accuracy of produced data.
