FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: duplex angioscanning is conducted to measure a diameter of greater saphena prior to and after compression bandaging. That is followed by determining vein compression ability (X) by original formula. If the value of X is 41% and more, the excellent or good result of a sclerosurgical operation is predicted. The value of X being 21-40% shows the satisfactory result. The value of X being 20% and less enables predicting the unsatisfactory effect of the intraoperative stem catheter scleroobliteration of greater saphena.
EFFECT: method enables demonstrating the effect of compression clearly and thereby predicting the effectiveness of the sclerosurgical intervention.
