VACUUM-ASSISTED GLUE OBLITERATION OF VARICOSE VEINS OF LOWER EXTREMITIES Russian patent published in 2020 - IPC A61B17/00 A61M25/00 A61B17/08

Abstract RU 2720742 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, particularly to cardiovascular surgery, and can be used as an alternative low-traumatic method for treating varicose disease of lower extremities (VDLE). Method of cyanoacrylate obliteration of veins consists in the fact that under local anaesthesia under ultrasound control (UC) needle 18G is performed puncture target subcutaneous vein (TSV) in place of distal point of reflux, then needle is brought into vein guide to fistula with deep vein and further along guide introduces introductory 7F. Positioning of the introducer in the vein is performed so that the distal end is 2 cm from the anastomosis with the deep vein. Hollow tube is connected to one of the ends of the two-way valve of the introducer, which goes to the surgical suction unit and is connected to the reservoir for collection; the tap is in the "closed" position at the point where the tube is attached. Further, the suction unit is actuated to create a negative pressure in the system, wherein the introducer flap is closed. Then an introducer introduces an adhesive catheter, the tip of which is installed exactly at the distal end of the introducer. With the help of a clamp pressure percutaneous compression of TSV is performed in a point of an anastomosis with a deep vein, and then at a negative pressure of the suction system, an introducer cockpit is opened so that the negative pressure extends through the introducer on the internal vein lumen, which results in venous desalination from venous blood and collapse of its walls around the glue catheter. Then the introducer is contracted along the glue catheter in the distal direction, and then the tap is placed in the off position so that the negative pressure is no longer applied to the venous vessel. Further, the adhesive composition is delivered along the adhesive catheter and the last of the vein lumen is gradually removed.

EFFECT: technical result of the invention is that obliteration of the vein shaft occurs in a closer location from the anastomosis, more qualitative comparison and treatment of the walls of the vein with an adhesive composition, which leads to complete obliteration of the vein along.
