FIELD: measurement technology.
SUBSTANCE: in a semiconductor LED device, which emits through the diffusing surface of the transparent plate and having a light-generating region therein, according to the invention, a layer of transparent particles is placed on the surface of the plate as a diffuser, said layer having a refraction index greater than that of the ambient medium and a gap between the particles and the surface shorter than the wavelength.
EFFECT: designing a LED with higher efficiency of outputting radiation from the crystal and simple technique for production thereof.
