FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method implies approaching an upper one-third of the shinbone within its tuberosity. That is followed immediately by forming 8-10 holes below an attachment point of a patellar ligament without stripping the periosteal coverage in the proximal direction to a metaphysis of the shinbone; the holes are connected to produce a ball osteotome with a distally directed arch with its base facing a metaepyphysis of the shinbone.
EFFECT: method eliminates the patellar ligament tension and postoperative pains in the patellar-femoral joint, reduces the length of treatment and rehabilitation.
