THERAPY OF UNREDUCED POSTERIOR SUBLUXATION OF SHIN BONES Russian patent published in 2009 - IPC A61B17/56 

FIELD: medicine; traumatology and orthopaedics.

SUBSTANCE: dissection of fascia lata and tensor muscle of fascia lata is followed with mobilisation of anterior and external portions of quadriceps muscle of thigh by excision of patella from insertion of cortical plate, and medialisation of tibial spine being thereafter fixed. Biceps muscle of thigh is extended. Shortening corrective osteotomy of femur is combined with open reduction of shin. Femoral and shin epiphyses are matched in position and fixed. Posterior capsulotomy of knee joint, transchondral modelling of deformed proximal shin epiphysis. Internal portion of quadriceps muscle of thigh is crimped and sutured.

EFFECT: functional recovery of knee joint and gain of support ability of lower limb, generation of correct anatomic functional relations in knee joint, prevention of deforming gonarthrosis.
