SUBSTANCE: present invention refers to extracorporeal blood purification. A device comprises a control unit controlling the arterial main opening and closing with simultaneous closing and opening of the venous main in a one-lumen instrument, an arterial main container, a venous main container, a sensor indicating if the amount of purified blood in the venous main container exceeds a threshold, a sensor indicating if the contaminated blood amount in the arterial main container is less than a threshold. An arterial main closing unit is used to close the arterial main with simultaneous opening of the venous main in response to signal A transmitted by the sensor to the arterial main closing unit. A venous main closing unit is used to close the venous main with simultaneous opening of the arterial main in response to signal B transmitted by the sensor to the venous main closing unit. A pump is used to pump over a phase volume Vphase at a pumping rate QBP. The control unit is configured to control the pumping rate QBP, if the actual supplied phase volume Vact deviates from Vnom, so that the mentioned deviation ΔV tends to zero.

EFFECT: device provides the adequate blood flow accompanying any problems, eg the tube bend.
