FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises melting in water bath of soap, paraffin or wax of transparent or white colour. The molten base is poured in Petri dishes covered with lids. The cooled base is sprayed with alcohol, then the required elements of models are simulated: the "microbial colonies" are applied using wire inoculating loop or tampon, and then the droplets of the molten base mixed with another pigment or dye are applied to the base surface to impart the required colour to the simulated colony. The prepared models simulate the specific culture media, growth on them of certain cultures of microorganisms, or illustrate experiments in microbiology. The dishes with prepared presentations are poured with paraffin on the edges, the presentations in tubes are closed with silicone stoppers and stored in a dry, dark place.
EFFECT: invention enables students to form the clear understanding of the basic biological peculiarities of pathogens, their physiology, pathogenicity factors.
