FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: method involves determining a pulse wave aortic velocity. The pulse wave aortic velocity is measured before and after the daily single 5-day exposure of cervical sympathetic ganglia to a travelling magnetic field (TMF) at frequency 50-100 Hz, magnetic field density 15-50 mT and scanning rate about the neck of 8-12 Hz and exposure length 10-15 min. The measured values are compared to each other. If the post-TMF pulse wave aortic velocity tends to decrease as compared to the reference by less than 10%, a high risk of arterial hypertension is predicted with a probability of less than 80%. If the post-TMF pulse wave aortic velocity decreases by more than 27%, a low risk of arterial hypertension is predicted with a probability of less than 30%.

EFFECT: method enables the medication-free determination of the risk of arterial hypertension, increases a degree of diagnostic reliability of arterial hypertension in the given patients.
