SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely cardiology, and concerns the treatment of essential hypertension. For this purpose examine the changes of pro-and anti-inflammatory markers of blood: MCP-1, IP-10, vchSRB and IL-10 before treatment and 3 months after the start of treatment. When the MCP-1 indices change from 55.7±8.6 pg/ml to 45.2±7.4 pg/ml, IP-10 from 309.2±15.4 pg/ml to 321.6±19.1 pg/ml, vchSRB from 0.71 pg/ml to 0.63 pg/ml; and increasing the level of IL-10, antihypertensive therapy is assessed as effective.

EFFECT: method provides the possibility of an objective assessment of the effectiveness of antihypertensive therapy and its timely individual correction.
