FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: method includes injecting accelerated ions of light elements into an evacuated ring channel (1) with a wall (2) made of a material capable of static-charge accumulation, having a longitudinal axis (3) in the form of a curved smooth line. Injectors (4a) and (4b) form two ion beams moving in the channel in the same or opposite directions, and transport ions of said beams with repeated passage of said ions through the channel in the direction of its longitudinal axial line. The particle beams are transported using a channel (1), which is provided with an electroconductive shell adjacent to its external surface or an electroconductive coating (5) deposited on said surface, on which a potential which induces a positive charge on the internal surface of the wall of the channel 1 is applied to obtain a potential barrier greater than the highest energy of the ions injected therein. A grid (6), on which a potential is also applied, is placed near the internal surface of the wall of the channel.
EFFECT: high probability of conducting nuclear reactions without the need to generate high-temperature plasma and use complex equipment to generate magnetic fields with a special configuration.
