A method of inserting a unique identifier associated with each video content and services comprises steps of: inserting a unique identifier associated with each said video content or services into a signalling stream, wherein said unique identifier determines unique video content or a service; inserting said unique identifier at least into a transport packet of a transport stream, wherein said transport packet contains at least a data packet of encoded video content or service corresponding to said unique identifier.
