FIELD: chemical industry.

SUBSTANCE: electrolyte is prepared containing cations of metals: copper and nickel, in aqueous solution of polymer—poly-N-vinylpyrrolidone with different molecular weight. Then electrolysis of obtained solution is carried out by direct current in electrolysis unit with metal cathode and anode. To this end, a point cathode is used in the form of copper insulated wires in amount of 15 pieces, the open section of which is a cathode surface, providing cathode current density of up to 100 A/cm2, and cupronickel anode, made in the form of a hollow cylinder. Obtained nanoparticles of Cu and Ni are deposited.

EFFECT: powder contains said nanoparticles with controlled composition of oxidised and reduced forms.
