FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering and can be used in high-voltage variable-frequency electric drives for control of serviceability of an input transformer and power cells. A self-diagnostic method of a high-voltage frequency converter containing an input transformer and several levels of power cells, which are connected to each of the three phases and each of which includes a rectifier on thyristors and an inverter on IGBT transistors, consists in the fact that a control system checks serviceability of each power cell by measurement of temperature of thyristors, output voltage of the rectifier, temperature of IGBT transistors and output current of the inverter; with that, there additionally checked is state of windings of the input transformer by measurement of temperature, output voltage and current.
EFFECT: application of a self-diagnostic method of a high-voltage frequency converter will allow achieving the following technical result: improvement of electric drive functioning reliability.
