SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to agricultural machinery industry and can be used to prepare feed. The knife holder comprises several segments of a knife holder, each of which is made in the form of a disc segment and has an outer surface with slots for knives. The segments of the knife holder are mounted on the shell of the drum housing of the grinder in the form of a circular cylinder. All segments of the knife holder are arranged in series along the length of the circumference and make up a disc. Each segment of the knife holder comprises clamps designed for precise positioning of the segment of the knife holder relative to the drum housing and allowing removable mounting the segment of the knife holder on the shell of the drum housing.

EFFECT: use of the group of inventions reduces the cost of maintenance and repair of the drum of the grinder in operation of the forage harvester.
