SUBSTANCE: in an open-type heat exchanger with an active head piece, which consists of a housing with a support frame, which is made from sheet steel, a sprinkling system with an atomiser, a drop eliminator, an active head piece made in the form of a tube bank, each of the atomisers of the sprinkling system includes a housing with a vortex chamber and a nozzle insert. The housing includes an inlet branch pipe having an opening, an inlet cylindrical chamber, the vortex chamber located coaxially with regard to the inlet chamber and made in the form of a cylindrical shell the side surface of which is provided with at least three tangentially located holes, axes of which are located at a tangent with regard to the vortex chamber, and the nozzle insert is located coaxially to the vortex chamber; inside the insert there are three calibrated openings that are located in series and coaxial to each other and to the cylindrical surface of the vortex chamber.
