FIELD: measurement equipment.

SUBSTANCE: substance of the proposed method and device of automated monitoring of technical condition of electrical equipment consists in provision of diagnostic space containing information criteria of electrical equipment failures in the form of vectors of digital sequence, from which the technical condition matrix is formed. Identification of technical condition and place of failure in electrical equipment is carried out on the basis of analysis of changes in digital sequences of formed matrices of technical condition. At the same time it is suggested to monitor technical condition of electrical equipment in two stages: at the first stage (analysis) they generate a library of reference descriptions of possible technical conditions of electrical equipment (information criteria of failures), and save them as reference matrices of technical condition, and the signal measured from the sensor of intensity of magnetic field converted into the matrix of technical condition is also saved; at the second stage (identification) they compare element by element the produced matrix of technical condition with reference matrices of technical condition, identify technical condition of electrical equipment by highest number of matches of elements of compared matrices.

EFFECT: increased efficiency and validity of identification of technical condition of electrical equipment.
