FIELD: computer science. SUBSTANCE: invention refers to information-computer networks and can find use in design of digital networks of integrated service. Technical result lies in prevention of network interlocking, in raised efficiency of utilization of communication channels with fixed level of service failures and preservation of time scale while long messages are transmitted. Dialog between communication center and calling subscriber is organized at phase of connection establishment. As result of dialog length L of message is ascertained and compared with threshold value Lt.v = k•Lcr+b,. If length of message exceeds threshold value, i.e.L>Lt.v, then physical connection and message transmission are carried out under condition of channel switching and if L<Lt.v then message is memorized, divided into packages and message transmission is carried out under condition of package switching with their transmission through virtual connection. EFFECT: raised efficiency of utilization of communication channels and prevention of network interlocking. 4 dwg
