FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering, namely to electric insulators, in particular to bearing, suspended, feedthrough and other insulators. According to the invention the electric insulator contains the insulating body implemented using the elastic dielectric material, at least one fixing assembly and reinforcing rods located, at least, partially in the insulating body, and, at least a part of the reinforcing rods is mechanically connected to each other, and the reinforcing rods, and/or, at least, one fixing assembly, and/or, at least, one connecting element are implemented using conducting material.
EFFECT: invention provides creation of required distribution of intensity of electric field around the insulator that provides safety and increase of service life.
