FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: suspended polymer insulator comprising a bearing rod, eye lugs placed at its ends and having openings intended for insulator fixing and oriented in transverse direction in regard to longitudinal axis of the insulating ribs (5) covering the rod along its perimeter according to the invention consists of elements made as an integral structure of polymer material, moreover the bearing rod is made as two or more parallel plates (1) having cross-section narrowing from their middle towards edges and interconnected in the middle part by a bridge (2), while plate ends transit smoothly into eye lugs (3), at outer lateral surface of the outer plates along longitudinal axis there are reinforcement ribs (4), at points of the reinforcement ribs connection to the plates, transverse insulating ribs and the bridge there are sooth transits and the bridge has longitudinal through-holes (6) placed between the insulating ribs.

EFFECT: simplified manufacturing design and technology for suspended polymer insulator, improvement of its operation performance.
