FIELD: insulators.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an insulator comprising at least two rods connected to each other by means of shielding connecting elements, and a protective sheath covering the rods, as well as two end fittings placed at the ends of the rods.
EFFECT: technical result of the invention is a simultaneous increase in the reliability of insulators, namely, a decrease in the likelihood of electrical breakdown, while maintaining the possibility of using for its manufacture the same equipment that is used for the manufacture of conventional insulators from the prior art.
