FIELD: test equipment.
SUBSTANCE: fibre is fixated in a fixation device, and the device with fibre is mounted in grips of pull-test machine. Before fibre fixation in the device, glass spheres of larger diameter than the fibre diameter are attached to both ends of the fibre, and a pair of bushings is used as a fixation device, each bushing featuring a hole with conical part. Fixation device includes first and second bushings, each consisting of a first cylindrical part with internal diameter exceeding sphere diameter, conical part with top angle within 70-100 degrees range, and second cylindrical part with internal diameter exceeding fibre diameter yet less than glass sphere diameter.
EFFECT: improved reliability of fibre fixation and test result accuracy for pull-test machine.
