SUBSTANCE: invention relates to railway automation and telemechanics and is intended for monitoring the position of switch points or movable cores of frogs on railway transport. The apparatus for monitoring the position of switch points and movable cores of frogs is mounted on a switch or frog and comprises, in a common housing, a mechanism for monitoring outermost positions with sensors, a composite control line or control lines. The control line(s) is (are) configured to move along a guide has (have) a rigid connection through control tension members with the switch points or a control tension member with the movable core of the frog.
