SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means of switching points. Sleeper electric switch includes common housing (1) made in the form of a hollow bar, electric motor unit (2) placed in separate sealed housing (3) with cover (4), in which on vibration mounts electric motor module (11) and control unit (13) are installed for control of electric motor rotation speed and traction force of switch points movement during specified time of operation, unit (6) of ball-screw transmission, hermetically closed by protective casing (7) and cover (8), in unit (6) of ball-screw transmission there installed is detector closing unit (21), made with possibility of interaction with adjustable tie-rods with shackles to ensure backup of closing unit (15) and detection of damage of adjustable tie-rods (18).

EFFECT: increase in the reliability of the closure of the switch point is achieved while maintaining a safe gap of the free switch point.
