SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a wireless communication system and particularly discloses a base station, which includes a transmission path circuit to transmit an indication of whether a subscriber station is configured for pre-coding matrix indicator/rank indicator (PMI/RI) reporting. The transmission path circuit sets a pre-coding granularity to multiple physical resource blocks in the frequency domain to perform the same pre-coding over a bundled resource block if the subscriber station is configured for PMI/RI reporting. The bundled resource block includes multiple consecutive physical resource blocks in the frequency domain. The base station also includes a reception path circuit to receive feedback from the subscriber station.
