FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: method includes heating, rough and final rolling with intermediate cooling, and final accelerated cooling. Rolling of the continuously cast billet is performed with total degree of reduction through height 30-70% by two stages. First stage rolling is performed with single relative reductions 7% maximum until roll production with thickness 0.4-0.8 of input thickness of the continuously cast billet, and second stage rolling is performed until roll thickness required for intermediate cooling between the rough and final rolling, with individual relative reductions 10% minimum. At first stage of rough rolling at least three passes are performed using water descaling.
EFFECT: reduced non-uniform deformation through roll thickness, surface defects on sides of ready rolled products out of low carbon steel.
