FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention describes a method for predicting the anti-arrhythmic efficacy of the high-concentrated preparation of omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids in treating the patients suffering ventricular heart rhythm disturbance and postinfarction cardiosclerosis by measuring patient's pre-therapeutic peripheral blood lymphocyte enzymes and the pre-therapeutic enzymatic activities of: NADP-dependant malate dehydrogenase (NADPMDG) and glucoso-6-phosphatedehydrogenase (G6PDG) that is followed by calculating a lipid-carbohydrate exchange coefficient (LCEC) representing the NADPMDG to G6PDG relation, i.e. LCEC=NADPMDG/G6PDG, and if LCEC is 5.56 or more, the anti-arrhythmic efficacy of the preparation is predicted, and if LCEC is less than 5.56, the anti-arrhythmic non-efficacy of the preparation of omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids is presented.

EFFECT: method enables determining the anti-arrhythmic efficacy of the high-concentrated preparation of omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids before the treatment and can be recommended as applicable in clinical practice.
