FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: device represents survey system placed at movable insulating survey tower consisting of a wheeled frame with a bogie installed at it; accumulator battery and control unit are placed at the above bogie while mileage counter is mounted at the frame and coupled to the control unit through wireless channel; pull rods equipped with springs are pivoted to the bogie and with their other ends they are pivoted to a cartridge with a spring-actuated rod and measuring head placed inside it; inside a hollow body of the measuring head there are two horizontal cylindrical rollers placed in parallel towards each other and perpendicular to longitudinal axis of the measuring head case at its opposite ends; optical system is represented as a scanning element consisting of light-emitting module, lenses and one CCD ruler rigidly fixed to the bottom edge of the hollow body perpendicular to its longitudinal axis; at that the control unit is equipped with keyboard and connector for connection of removable disk storage that receives data from the scanning element and mileage counter.
EFFECT: simplified design and expanded scope of automated control over wear of overhead lines.
