FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: rotor device using the Magnus effect contains at least one rotor, rotor rotating ring kinematically linked with the rotor and secured on the device casing, and shaft secured in the device casing and kinematically linked with the drive and electric generator. The rotor is secured on the shaft, and at place of engagement with the rotors rotating ring has significantly lesser diameter then the diameter of the rest rotor part; and during rotation around axis of the device shaft per one cycle it makes significantly more rotations around its axis then the rotor makes without the diameter decreasing in the place of engagement with the rotors rotation ring.
EFFECT: increased movement speed of the rotor surface and hence during its flow-around by the flow to increasing of the Magnus effect action on the rotor and to increased device power.
