FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: instead of the principle of synchrocyclotron slow beam acceleration according to the prototype method, the present method employs the principle of longitudinal pulse modulation of protons using a C-electrode, which enables radial resonant loosening of protons with increase in the amplitude thereof and exit from the accelerator.

EFFECT: increasing energy monochromaticity of the beam by about 100-fold and completely eliminating the pulsed temporary microstructure of the beam, which improves quality of the stretched synchrocyclotron beam and broadens the capacity for use thereof in conducting physical experiments.
