FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: device relates to acceleration engineering and radiation physics, directly to radiation exposure of electronics of aerospace engineering with proton beam of variable-energy synchrocyclotron in order to test its reliability. Since the synchrocyclotron has a fixed proton energy of 1,000 Mev, the apparatus employs a degrader with an automatically tuned length of the absorber to vary the energy of the proton beam and a movable coordinate system for positioning each of the irradiated electron samples along the beam axis. Irradiated samples are in a movable thermal chamber. For automatic adjustment and stabilization of intensity of proton beam and fluence on each of irradiated samples there used is automatic regulator in form of line of time delay of moment of beginning of operation of self-contained power supply of duo, which is included into break of synchronization circuit between self-contained power supply and variator of duo frequency. To operate the entire device in automatic mode, a multi-level intelligent control system is used.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of device operation.
