FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: fistula is packed with the eye self-tissue. The Tenon's membrane is used as a packing tissue. The Tenon's membrane is taken from the fornix by excising the fragment. The fragment diameter exceeds the fistula diameter. The excised fragment is inserted from the outer side into the fistula. The fragment is sutured to the sclera.
EFFECT: method ensures non-traumatic and reliable fistula closure, stable normalisation of the intraocular pressure and reduced operative complications by using the proper Tenon's membraneof the diameter exceeding the fistula size and sampling it within the fistula, and also enables suture cutting through by avoiding the sclera tissue tension.
